Structure your navigation with menu buttons

Menu buttons provide the main structure of your Scaura channel. They let users navigate through your app, and help organize your content accordingly. Menu buttons can only be added inside the homepage, another menu button, or inside a hotspot.

TIP: For a better navigation experience, we limit the number of menu button layers to 6 levels deep. If you've reached this limit and need another layer for your content, consider rethinking your navigation, or making use of presentations as a way to bundle your files.

To add menu buttons, follow these steps:

  1. On your channel structure, select the place where you want to insert a menu button inside. It can either be the homepage, a menu button, or a hotspot.
  2. On the right-hand side, choose Add menu button.
  3. Fill in the menu button details:
    • Name (mandatory): This is the name that will be used as a label on the menu when users navigate through your channel.
    • If you are adding another menu button or an hyperlink button inside this menu button, you may also want to add a title and a description to appear in the navigation page.
      • Title (optional): If filled, will show up as an overlay on your background (see image).
      • Description (optional): If filled, will show up as an overlay on your background (see image).
  4. Click Save.
